Who is the controller?

For Maffiosi.com, Maffiosi.com is the controller. support@maffiosi.com.

What data do we use?

  • Account data: username, email address, password hash, language, account status, verification data, settings and last login/IP information.
  • Gameplay & progression: progress, stats, rank, money and virtual items, families, messages, achievements, rankings, seasons, actions, cooldowns, transactions and logs needed for support and game balance.
  • Device & cookies: session cookies, language/cookie preferences, browser and device information, IP address, user-agent, security cookies, session hash and limited identifiers for anti-bot and fraud prevention.
  • Payments: payment status, order information, product, amount and payment provider references. We do not store full card or bank details; those are handled by the payment provider.
  • Communication: support emails, feedback, bug reports, in-game messages, newsletter preferences and email notifications.

Why do we use this data?

  • Performance of a contract: to run your account, progress, actions, messages, families, rankings, purchases and other game features.
  • Legitimate interests: for security, anti-bot, fraud prevention, support, abuse investigations, game balance and performance improvements.
  • Consent: for newsletters, non-essential cookies, external services or browser notifications where consent is needed.
  • Legal obligation: for administration, accounting, tax rules and handling legal requests.

Retention periods

  • Account data: while your account exists and afterwards as long as needed for security, administration or disputes. Inactive accounts may be cleaned up after a period of time.
  • Game, support and security logs: usually kept as short as practical, but longer when needed for anti-cheat, investigations, bans, disputes or legal duties.
  • Payment and invoice data: kept according to legal administration duties, usually 7 years.

Deleting your account

You can ask us to delete your account. Some data may still be kept when needed for security, fraud investigations, administration, open payments or legal obligations.

Do we share data?

We only share data where needed for the site: hosting, email, payments, analytics/cookies if you consent, abuse prevention, support and legal requests. We do not sell your data.

External services

We may use external services for hosting, email, payments, anti-spam/captcha, analytics, ads, Discord/social login and support. They process only what is needed for their task.

International transfers

Security

We use HTTPS, password hashing, session security, access control, logging, rate limits and anti-bot checks. No system is perfect, but we take security seriously.

We use necessary cookies for login, session, language, preferences, CSRF protection and anti-bot. Non-essential cookies or external services are loaded only when needed and/or after you give consent.

Anti-cheat & abuse prevention

To keep the game fair, we may record suspicious patterns such as timing, action volume, IP address, browser cookie, session data, browser information and captcha or security-check results. IP alone is not proof; we review signals together.

Children and minors

We do not knowingly target young children. If you are under age, use Maffiosi.com only with permission from a parent or guardian.

Changes

We may update this policy when the site, technology or law changes. For important changes, we will notify you on the site, in-game or by email.
